World Social Justice Day was created to pursue an ideal society where everyone is educated in a healthy and stable environment, and the equal rights of women and children are guaranteed.
World Social Justice Day is an international day that recognizes the need to promote social justice, including efforts to address issues such as poverty, exclusion, gender inequality, unemployment, human rights and social protection. The United Nations General Assembly was approved on 26 November 2007 and has decided to observe February 20 every year since 2009 as World Social Justice Day. Many organizations, including the United Nations, the American Library Association (ALA), and the International Labor Organization, have declared the importance of social justice for people. These organizations also offer initiatives for better social justice by addressing poverty, social and economic exclusion, and unemployment. The manifesto focuses on ensuring fair outcomes for all through employment, social protection, social dialogue, and basic principles and rights.
